NCHC Eligibility Overview

National Christian HomeSchool Championships Eligibility

Over the 20 years the NCHC has directed HomeSchool tournaments the HomeSchool landscape has changed dramatically.  During those 20 years HomeSchooling has grown from between 200,000-300,000 students to over 2,000,000.  As part of that growth there is a much wider spectrum of philosophical views and as a result of those views the NCHC has sought to continue to define our guidelines.

  • The current HomeSchool Eligibility Guidelines have been a work in process for HomeSchool Basketball for the last 7-8 years.  Other National events encourage teams to be working toward meeting those guidelines over the next few years, however, during the interim there are a number of “grandfathered players” and therefore there is a greater leniency with the Hardship Exemptions.

If a player doesn’t meet the NCHC Eligibility Guidelines, they will need to complete a Hardship Exemption Application:

  • All basketball players joining a program that are high school age must complete a Player Transfer Application, which is really a New Player Application   Click Here

  • If a player is turned down for a hardship appeal he/she may file an appeal  Click Here for details.
