New Schedule Highlights (WED-FRI, February 25th-27th)

August 4th- Please note that the dates for the upcoming Midwest ChampionshipsĀ have changed. Due to an unforeseen facility double-booking, the tournament will now be held fromĀ Wednesday, February 25th, through Friday, February 27th. The original dates were February 26th through the 28th.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. We’re working to ensure a smooth transition and believe this change will ultimately lead to a better tournament experience for everyone.

The new dates come with some significant benefits, including securing allĀ 16 courtsĀ for all three days. This is double the court space we had on the final day of last year’s Regionals, allowing for a more efficient schedule and ensuring all teams can compete throughout the entire event.

Here’s a breakdown of what to expect with the new schedule:

  • Day 1 (Wednesday):Ā The first games will begin at or after 12:00 PM.Ā More than half the teams won’t play their first game until after 4:00 PM, and we will not be scheduling any double-headers on this day.
  • Faster Day 3 Pace (Friday):Ā On Friday, the final day, we anticipate that more than 160 teams will have completed or started their final game by 12:30 PM.Ā For perspective, only 80 teams had reached this point on the final day of last year’s Midwest Regionals.

NCHBC 2026 Event Fee Structure (Same as 2025)

Early Bird Team Fee Discount (Deadline: August 31st)
Early Bird Player Fee Discount (Deadline: December 1st)

  • Regional Early Bird Team Fees:
    • $400 for 18u Teams
    • $350 for 16u & 14u Teams
    • $200 for 12u Teams
    • $100 for 10u Teams
  • Post Early Bird Cost: A $100 fee per team per event will be added on September 1st
  • A 5% convenience fee (waived for full team deposits paid by check, also waived when the whole team fee invoice amount is paid by check).

Early BirdĀ Team Deposit Schedule:

  • A $100 deposit per team per event is due to complete registration.
  • An additional $100 deposit per team per event is due on October 15th.
  • All credits and deposits will be applied towards the invoice. Deposits are required for all teams, even if the organization has a credit balance.
  • From January 1st-6th, all teams will be invoiced with a due date of January 15th.
  • A 5% convenience fee (waived for full team deposits paid by check, also waived when the whole team fee invoice amount is paid by check).

Cancellation Policy: Please note that any teams removed within 30 days of the event will be invoiced for the full amount, as we have a 30-day cancellation notice policy. This is likely to impact District teams.

Player Fees

Early Bird Discount (Deadline: Players Registering by December 1st)

  • Regionals: $20 per player fee, plus 5% convenience fee.
  • Family Discount: For families with more than three players, contact nchbchomeschoolnationals@gmail.com for a family rate.
  • Post Early Bird Cost: Add a minimum of $10 per player per event for registrations after December 1st.

Ticketing & Admissions

  • Gates/Tickets are required for all attendees except players and two coaches per team.
  • Organizations with five or more teams will receive ten coaches passes to distribute within their program.
  • Tickets Link: Will Open in February.

General Policies

  • No Refund Policy: The NCHC has a strict No Refund Policy. Payments are non-refundable; however, they are transferable for up to one year. If an organization makes a deposit on 13 teams and only 12 make, the deposits made on the team that did not make are transferable.
  • Update Page: As we get within 30 days of the event, we will have an [Update Page] that has the most up-to-date info links for the event we are currently focused on.
  • Brackets & Opening Day Game Times: You can expect to know your age group’s earliest start time seven (7) days before the event. Brackets are released no later than Monday for events starting on Thursday, Tuesday for events starting on Friday, and Friday for events starting on Monday.

Brackets & Opening Day Game Times: You can expect to know your age group’s earliest start time for the opening day seven (7) days before the event. Brackets are released no later than Monday before events that begin on Thursday, Tuesday for events beginning on Friday, and Friday for events that begin on Monday.

Seeding: All Coaches will have an opportunity to fill out a seeding form and share input during the multi-step seeding process.
Late Fee: A $50 late fee will be added to any team fees that are not paid in full 30 days before the event’s start date.
NCHBC Midwest Cancellation Policy/Notice: Any team that cancels with a 30-day notice will receive a credit for any payments made, which will be good for any event the following year. However, any late cancelations (within 30 days of the event) will forfeit any payments made, and if they have not yet paid, they will receive an invoice. Late cancellations are treated the same as if the team attended the event. We have no desire to make a team pay for an event they didnā€™t attend, however we need proper notice for brackets, refereeā€™s, gyms, trophies, etc.
