Team USA Information
Nationals Dates: March 12th-16th, 2018
If you have all the details and would like to register you can do so by scrolling to the end of this page where the form is located.
A Team USA is made up of eligible Home School players from around the country that do not have a full team to play on. This allows players to participate in an NCHBC Post Season Event who would not be able to without Team USA. Team USA was birthed at the 1st National Tournament and is now being made available at all NCHBC Regionals.
Team USA can be used by a HomeSchool players whose team is not attending Nationals. This happens many different ways including when 3-5 players from one team and a coach want to play at an NCHBC Post Season Event but don’t have enough to field a full team and they need to add 3-4 players to compete.
Team USA’s are not placed in top brackets when there is an option. (Team USA may not advance to a semifinal in a Gold Ball brackets at Nationals or the top bracket semi finals at Regionals, if there is an option.)
The fees are $90 at Nationals & $55 at Regionals.
If there is a need to combine age groups to make a team you will be notified and given an option for a refund if you don’t feel it is a good fit, the only exception to this is if 16u and 18u are combined as this is common.
A Team USA Nationals Meeting will be held the evening before play begins, – details to follow, there is no Regional Team USA Meeting.
Coaches will be parents and you may request to coach when you son/daughter fills out a form. A Team USA volunteer coach needs to understand that Team USA is designed to be a fun experience, opposed to a competitive experience. A Team USA Coach will be removed by tournament staff during the event if needed.
Team/Coach assignments will not take place until you arrive at the Event and meet your team. If you requested to be on someones team it will happen.
